Hurricanes, Airshows, and Sprinklers

Ok, now, if you live in Ohio, you know that on Sunday, the 14th we had a Hurricane! I know what your thinking, a hurricane in Ohio?!? Well, its true, at least that is as far as winds go, it was a category 1 hurricane. Which is winds topping 75 mph. Southern Ohio was devastated, granted, it was NOTHING like TX, don't get me wrong. More than 1 million people in the Cincinnati area alone were without power, we were without power for 2 1/2 days, some around town, are still without power. We managed just fine though. We cooked out on our grill, lit lots of candles, and watched our 2 in TV screen, to see some news. We lost a few trees, one of our commercial rental properties, had very bad roof damage, and about 150 dollars of fridge and freezer items. Not bad compared to some. I managed to snap a few pictures with my phone, one is of Max next to a candle, the other is of him taking a bath in my large soaking tub, it has a LARGE window next to it, so it had lots of light, so we could see.





One thing you might not know about us, is we collect military vehicles. One of witch is a Vietnam era, armored personal carrier called a V-100. To teach people about Vietnam, we often take the V-100 to airshows. We dress in period clothing, and tell people about the war, and the vehicle. This past weekend we went to a Airshow, and did this. We really have a good time, and I enjoy educating children (and many adults) about this war. Here are a few pics. One of witch is of a really cool dog. His name was Buster. Buster has an issue with his jaw and can not put his tongue fully in his mouth, so this is his permanent look. He got just as many pictures taken of him than the airplanes!!







These next pictures are weeks old. I don't know how they got looked over, but they did. They are of Max after he "helped" wash my car. He really just played with the sprayer until he was dripping, and shivering from head to toe! He is just to cute!
