An actual blog entry!!

WOW!! Yep, this is going to be a genuine, true, blog entry!! I know, I know, you don't have to tell me how much I have been slacking on this. I'm going to try much harder to do this from now on, I know how important it is, especially to all Max's Aunts who don't get to see him to often.

SO.... without further a deaux (sp?).....

We did something we said we would NEVER do... we bought a camper. It is actually a pop up camper, and it has a deck on the front for toys (six wheelers, and ATV's) Take a look:

We got a great deal on it, it is brand new, and we drove all the way to Iowa to get it. In doing this we saved about four thousand dollars!! Max was so excited to have something hooked up to the truck. At the camper place, they even had a toy, guess what it was???? A JEEP that is towing a camper!! How perfect can you get!! Here are some pictures of the drive:

Last weekend we went on Max's very first camping trip! We took the camper to a local place called Ceasars Creek. It is a HUGE lake, and has nice camping sites for RV's. Max had his very first marshmellow over the fire, as well as hotdogs, and hamburgers, and sleeping in our new camper. He also got to swim in the lake, and play in the sand. He LOVED it. All except the fact Ollie (the dog) slept in his bed as well... he didn't want to share the QUEEN size bed with the dog. He got over that though. Here are some pics:

And here are a few pictures of the inside of the camper:

And to leave you one last picture, taken of Max... sleeping...in a very weird position.....

**Keep in mind who is writing this post... ignore the spelling please!**

Love your camper!! We camped as a kid and it is my favorite kind of vacation...especially in the early fall. Unfortunately, Kevin HATES camping, so we'll probably never go again. (I've dragged him a few times in our 22 years together and he tolerated it...but barely!)

Great update!

Chelsie & Alan,
Great decision with the camper. Making memories are what it is all about. We started with a canvas tent and the kids loved it. You are giving Max something that will remain with him for the rest of his life. Way to go. Keep up the blogs...only way for his Great Aunt Kacy to see him. Love ya.
